Resume

Diana Seitanidou comes from the city of Kavala and has been living in Thessaloniki for the last years. From a young age, she has been involved intensively in the arts of theater and photography. She graduated from the Psychology Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2018. During her undergraduate studies, she realized the value of the neurological basis of human behavior and the magic of the brain, which led her to complete her first postgraduate degree in Clinical Neuropsychology from the University of Sheffield. She had the opportunity to work in rehabilitation clinics, elderly care centers, and public hospitals, gaining experience in the assessment and rehabilitation of various neurological disorders such as epilepsy, cranioencephalic injuries, dementia, cerebrovascular diseases, and neurodevelopmental disorders.

At the same time, she specialized in Intergrated Therapy and continued her postgraduate studies in Psychosexual Therapy at the University of Central Lancashire. The frequency of sexual disorders, the social stigma that accompanies them, as well as the lack of adequate information and treatment, prompted her in the above direction. Her goals include strengthening all gender identities and sexual/emotional orientations, resolving sexual dysfunctions, and promoting the Positive Model for sexual activity. In her clinical work, she applies the principles of cognitive, systemic, and person-centered approaches. She also serves as a lecturer at the Metropolitan College of Thessaloniki, which collaborates with the University of East London, teaching courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Her research interests include cognitive abilities, gender roles, and non-traditional sexual practices.
