Kosmas Boutsikos is a psychiatrist, military doctor, and supervisor of the psychiatric clinic at the 424 General Military Hospital of Athens. After serving in the Greek Army and receiving his medical degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, he attended the Health Services Applied Training School at the 401 Military Hospital and worked as a doctor in the Paratroopers School.

During his specialization in psychiatry at the B’ Psychiatric Clinic of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, at the Psychiatric Hospital of Thessaloniki, and at the Central Mental Health Center, he came into contact with a variety of incidents involving psychosis, emotional and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and other mental health disorders.

He has received training in various forms of psychotherapy, including psychoanalytic psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, cognitive analytical psychotherapy, and brief dynamic psychotherapy. He has also completed an early intervention program for psychosis (Early Intervention Service) at the Camden and Inslington Trust of the NHS in London.

He is a member of the Hellenic Psychiatric Society, the Freudian Society of Northern Greece, the Society of Preventive Psychiatry, and has served as Secretary of the Union of Greek Trainee Psychiatrists, a branch of the Hellenic Psychiatric Society.
