Resume

Maria was born in 1987 in Serres and grew up in Thessaloniki. She graduated from Panorama High School in 2005 and then pursued her academic studies at the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from 2005 to 2011, which she completed with a “very good” degree. After that, she worked as a volunteer for “Doctors of the World”, and from 2012 to 2013, she served as a rural service doctor at the K.Y. Prinou Thassos.

From 2013 to 2015, she specialized in the University Clinic LVR-Klinikum Dusseldorf in Germany, where she worked in both inpatient and day hospitals, as well as engaged in research work. From 2016 to 2022, she completed her specialization in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the 2nd Psychiatry Clinic of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki at the Psychiatric Hospital of Thessaloniki and the Mental Health Center of the Northwestern Sector. During her specialization in Germany and in Greece, she faced a variety of cases involving psychoses, emotional and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and other disorders, while receiving training in a wide range of psychotherapeutic methods (supportive, group, psychoanalytic, family).

From 2019 to 2021, she received specialized training in Cognitive Analytic Psychotherapy from the Panhellenic Association of Cognitive Analytic Psychotherapy.

Since 2019, she has also been participating in the educational program on Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy of the Greek Society of Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy (GSCBP).
