Resume

Gerasimos is a Psychiatrist – Psychotherapist, specialized in Psychiatry at the General Hospital – State Mental Hospital of Leros and at the Psychiatric Hospital of Thessaloniki. He has completed an educational program in Brief Intensive Dynamic Psychotherapy (BIDP) certified by the IEDTA (International Experiential Dynamic Therapy Association). Within his specialization, he received training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, Cognitive-Analytic Psychotherapy (CAP), and Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy (CBT).

Continuing his education, he holds a postgraduate degree in Clinical Mental Health from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He completed a two-year educational program on the theory and technique of psychoanalysis and psychodynamic psychotherapy, as well as the program “Mental Health: Traumatic Events & Management of Loss / Grief” of the University of Athens.

He participated with speeches and posters in national psychiatric conferences, are a member of the Hellenic Psychiatric Association, and have served as a member of the Administrative Board of the Union of Greek Specialized Psychiatrists, a branch of the Hellenic Psychiatric Association.

He mainly works in psychotherapy, with the contribution of pharmacotherapy when and where necessary and desired, following clinical evaluation and diagnostic procedures, in addressing problems across the spectrum of mental health.
